1. Introduction
This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which Furkating College, Golaghat manages all
fee-related payments. To maintain administrative efficiency, ensure resource allocation, and
uphold fairness in institutional operations, the College follows a strict No Refund Policy for all
categories of fees unless explicitly mandated by law.
2. General No-Refund Clause
All fees paid to Furkating College — including admission fees, tuition fees, development fees,
laboratory fees, examination fees, library fees, hostel fees, certificate fees, and any other
academic or administrative charges — are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable
under any circumstances.
3. Admission Fees
Once a student completes the admission process and fees are paid, the College allocates
academic resources, seats, and administrative expenses. Therefore, admission-related fees
will not be refunded, irrespective of whether the student: withdraws voluntarily, fails to attend
classes, is unable to continue due to personal, medical, financial, or academic reasons, gets
admission elsewhere, or is removed due to misconduct or violation of College rules.
4. Course, Program & Training Fees
Fees paid for certificate courses, skill development programs, workshops, add-on courses,
internships, study tours, or any other training programs are fully non-refundable. Resource
planning for such programs is based on confirmed registrations.
5. Hostel Fees
Hostel accommodation is allotted for a fixed period. Once fees are paid: Hostel admission
fees, Seat reservation charges, Hostel maintenance fees, Mess-related advance payments
are strictly non-refundable, even if the student vacates early or does not occupy the allotted
room.
6. Examination & Form Fill-Up Fees
All examination fees, late fees, re-evaluation fees, photocopy fees, and form-fill-up fees are
non-refundable. Once submitted, they cannot be reversed even if the student: misses the
examination, is absent for personal or health reasons, is disqualified, or opts out after
submission.
7. Digital Services, ID Cards & Miscellaneous Fees
Payments made for digital access, identity cards, library cards, certificates, duplicate
documents, or any service-related charges cannot be refunded under any condition.
8. No Refund in Case of Events Beyond Control
The College is not liable to refund fees due to unexpected circumstances including but not
limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, or public health emergencies, government-imposed
restrictions, changes in academic calendar, strikes, disturbances, or operational disruptions.
Academic services will be continued through alternative modes whenever possible.
9. Payment Errors
In case of duplicate payments due to technical error, the student may request verification with
proof of transaction. If confirmed, the amount may be adjusted toward future payments at the
College’s discretion. Cash refunds will not be issued.
10. Exceptions
The only exceptions to the No Refund Policy apply when: Refunds are mandated by
Government of India, Government of Assam, UGC, or affiliating University rules. Such cases
will be processed strictly as per official guidelines and timelines.
11. Acceptance of Policy
By submitting fees to Furkating College, Golaghat, the student and guardians acknowledge,
understand, and agree to abide by this No Refund Policy in full.
