Furkating College is a premier seat of learning in upper Assam. It was established on 6th Auigust,1981. Since the time of establishment the college, with tireless effort of a team of experienced ,well qualified & enthusiastic faculty members & staff, has been able to occupy a place of pride in the field of higher education of the state. It nurtures youth of today to face the challenges of tomorrow. The college tries to impart quality education to its learners so that they can face competition all over the globe. This is done by imparting them knowledge as well as skill & encouraging them to excel in various fields of life. That the college has been able to make all-round progress is evident in the outcome of NAAC assessment — in 2003 C++ Grade ,in 2010 B Grade & in 2016 B++ Grade. Such a great achievement is the result of united effort of all the stakeholders of the college. In future also the college is determined to keep on striving for excellence.
