On 25 November 2025, Furkating College (Autonomous) had the honour of welcoming two eminent personalities—nationally acclaimed actress Malaya Goswami and world-renowned scientist and innovator, Padma Shri Dr. Uddhab Bharali, popularly known as ‘The Machine Man’—as Professors of Practice. Both were formally presented with their appointment letters in a special programme held on campus.Their appointment aims to enrich the academic and co-curricular environment of the college by bridging professional expertise with institutional learning.
